The Best Ski Outfits To Hit The Slopes In Style
If you’ve read any of my previous ski-related articles, you know that I am not a fan of cold weather! The idea of hanging out with friends and family at beautiful ski resorts is very appealing, but that mostly has to do with hot cocoa around the fireplace and anything aprés ski related! Staying warm is generally my main M.O. so spending long cold days outside on the slopes is not my dream vacation. However, my husband is a big skier and I do love him and a fashionable ski look (almost equally), so I do what I can to enjoy ski trips every now and then and just pray for warmer days. To that end, here are some of the best ski outfit ideas to hit the slopes in style this year and some chic aprés looks sprinkled in because, IMO, that’s always the best part!
SLEEK & CHIC
For those that want to look as sleek and chic on the slopes as possible, here is your ski-nspiration! As with all things in life, you can never go wrong with an all black look even with ski gear. I love this mix of black in different textures, subtle matte and high shine.
To stay warm on the slopes, first start your ski outfit with a mock neck bodysuit that will stay in place all day long and these stirrup ski pants that are a great bottom layer. If you’re partial to ski suits, the Allos Ski Suit from Perfect Moment is both fashionable and super functional. My favorite feature is the thermal fleece lining, but it also has ski-specific features like a ski pass pocket and a hood that’s compatible with your ski helmet. Wear it alone for spring skiing or add an insulated jacket over when the wind chill is below freezing. Moncler makes some of the best women’s ski jackets and this one is no exception. This bomber style down jacket comes with a sleeve pocket, inner powder skirt, down filling and stretch jersey cuffs to keep the elements out. It’s a stylish and functional outer layer for on and off the slopes. For your aprés days, this wool sweater from We Norwegians is a great choice. Finish your look with stylish accessories like this fuzzy balaclava and fringed scarf. Just add ski boots and goggles and you’re ready to hit the slopes!

FAIR ISLE FRENZY
Fair isle is making a comeback and it looks more modern than ever when it’s combined with a cute ski outfit. Start with a wool base layer like these sleek black leggings and add a thermal turtleneck to keep warm. For a day of skiing, add Perfect Moment’s iconic ski suit with a fitted, flared silhouette that was made for women skiers. Designed in a four-way stretch fabric, it has special features like waterproof materials, a ski pass pocket and a helmet-compatible hood. Plus it can be a chic ski outfit all on its own. Layer Moncler Grenoble’s knit fair isle jacket over top for those photo op moments after your day on the slopes.
For added warmth when you’re done skiing, layer Perfect Moment’s down leg warmers over your leggings and slip into Sorel’s Out N About puffy fleece lined snow boots. Top it off with sunnies from Goodr and a belt bag to head out for drinks.

COZY CABIN
This edit is for those like me who love to look the part while in the mountains, and generally just want to stay warm & aprés ski. These chic neutral layers will give you cozy cabin vibes all vacation long.
To start, warm base layers are key and I love these satin shine leggings in rich brown from Lululemon paired with a sleek matching turtleneck from Uniqlo (plus you can’t beat this price point when it comes to winter essentials). The western-inspired wool sweater and cardigan from our favorite winter brands We Norwegians and Moncler Grenoble adds a sophisticated touch to your look. For an added layer of warmth Shoreditch Ski Club’s Shearling Jacket is the timeless piece you need. Wear it with jeans when you get back home to elevate your everyday winter look.
Keep your ears and head warm with a fashionable headband from Bogner and a chic beanie from Goldberg. Top off your look with chic sunnies and a statement bag like this one from Longchamp.
